Router reboot and power cycle for difficult network trouble
A full router/modem power cycle clears temporary faults and often restores normal network service.
When all else fails, restart your networking hardware.
- Unplug router and modem power cables from outlet.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Plug modem back in and wait until lights are stable.
- Plug router back in and wait until it fully starts.
- Reconnect device and verify internet.
If repeated reboot solves it temporarily, check for firmware update on router or contact ISP.
