Windows Start Menu Not Working? Quick Repair
Restore a frozen or unresponsive Start menu using built-in Windows repair commands.
When Start menu does not open or crashes:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager.
- Open PowerShell as Administrator.
- Run:
sfc /scannow - Then run:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - Restart computer and test Start menu again.
Create a new user profile if issue remains only on one account.
